Soy

Soybeans are a plant rich in oils and proteins, whose seeds are used in human and animal feed. Sown in May and harvested in September–October, soybeans improve soil structure for the next crop, require few inputs, and need minimal field management. Suitable for many cropping systems, it can be grown across an increasingly large portion of France and cultivated under both dryland and irrigated conditions. Soybeans are ideally suited to organic farming. A “Soja de France” charter guarantees the production of non-GMO, traceable, and sustainable French soybeans. Choosing a suitable variety, careful planting, and controlled weed management are key to successful cultivation.
