Enhanced skills transfer
Clarisse Guiziou-Jaouen, Regional Communications Manager, North-East zone
Clarisse Guiziou-Jaouen, a recent graduate of ENSAIA in Nancy, was recruited on a permanent contract after a one-year professionalization contract. How did the institute help her to become more autonomous? Here's her experience.
" I joined Terres Inovia in September 2023 on a work-study contract in my final year of engineering school. From the outset, I was informed that the regional communications manager with whom I would be working would be retiring soon, and that his position would be open to recruitment in the coming year.
For a year, we worked as a team and, in a very natural way, I gradually took on assignments on my own. He quickly explained and trained me in the tools and activities of regional communications, then gradually entrusted me with tasks such as managing the newsletter and social networks.
On a day-to-day basis, he was able to pass on his experience to me: he accompanied me in the field to help me improve my technical skills (recognizing diseases and crop stages, for example) and trained me to use the equipment to take photos and videos. I also assisted him in preparing our most important events... When he retired, I felt autonomous in the position of regional communications manager thanks to this almost 1-year apprenticeship, and taking over from him was a logical extension of my work-study period. "
Making the most of seniors' know-how
Terres Inovia encourages the transmission of expertise between generations. This is why the technical institute goes beyond stereotypes and prejudices by recruiting "senior" profiles. Interview with Laurent Lhuissier, Management Controller.
Laurent Lhuissier had a life of his own before joining Terres Inovia. This management controller was recruited in May 2024, at the age of 57, after a successful career in a pharmaceutical group. " My age and experienced profile were an asset at the time of recruitment," he recalls. His many years' experience in an industrial group and its complex environment enabled him to develop a good capacity for adaptation. " I was immediately very operational on my assignments and I was quickly able to adapt to the way the company worked ". In the recruitment process, age was not an obstacle: " I had the right profile and personality for the job, and the planets were immediately aligned with the team and management ".
What do the new recruits think?
Newly hired, they are delighted with the welcome they have received and their integration into our institute.
The conditions were quickly put in place to create a stimulating work environment and a smooth transition to the new position.
I was integrated in a very natural, friendly way, and the company's values are shared by all the employees I met.
The atmosphere is pleasant and internal practices are clear. There's a real sense of mutual support, which enabled me to integrate quickly.
