Hemp

All parts of the plant (fiber, shives, hempseed and powder) are used for paper, eco-construction, plastics, animal bedding, edible oil and mulching. Sown in April-May and harvested between the end of August and October, hemp is a profitable and sustainable crop that requires no phytosanitary treatment, is drought-resistant and suited to all soil types. A good precedent for wheat, leaving the soil clean and loose, hemp is also a reservoir of biodiversity.
