Acting for the agro-ecological transition

Terres Inovia promotes sustainable cropping systems: it disseminates agroecological levers to enable farmers to be both competitive and respectful of the environment.

Developing robust crop itineraries and systems

  • Terres Inovia develops robust, low-input and economically efficient cropping itineraries and systems.

The technical institute seeks the best solutions for managing bio-aggressors and increasing the robustness of diversified cropping systems, adapted to climatic hazards and the availability of water resources.

  • To this end, our experts are working to promote and enhance soil fertility. They produce references for reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere, thus helping to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Finally, the institute deploys innovative crop rotations in local areas, helping farmers to manage risks and deploy practices that promote agro-ecological transition.

Meeting agroecological challenges

Terres Inovia develops and valorizes ecosystem services to mitigate climate change, promote the decarbonization of sectors and preserve biodiversity, while strengthening competitiveness.

To achieve this, it works with farmers to design solutions tailored to their objectives and constraints, at both crop system and landscape level.

In concrete terms, the institute's experts, present in the field, provide tools and support to groups of farmers committed to the agro-ecological transition, in partnership with their advisors.

The institute also encourages public and private backers to set up risk-sharing schemes and economic benefits linked to the ecosystem services provided by crops.
