This training program guides you through setting up your workshop, providing you with the tools to understand the technical steps (pressing, filtering, storage), ensure food safety, navigate regulations (labeling, use-by dates), and maximize the value of your products.

  • Session 1: Introduction to oilseeds and oil
  • Session 2: Extraction techniques
  • Sessions 3 and 4: Production of edible vegetable oil
  • Session 5: By-products and utilization of oilseed meal

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Classify different oilseeds according to their quality criteria
  • Identify and implement technical measures to ensure optimal press operation
  • Produce edible oil and oilseed meal that meet the expected quality standards
  • Identify and manage the main health risks associated with edible oil production
  • Apply current regulations for the marketing of vegetable oils through direct sales or short supply chains.
