The laboratory
Based in the heart of university and research facilities, Terres Inovia's laboratory evaluates the nutritional and market value of seeds, cakes and oils:
- physico-chemical analyses to characterize products
- Setting up and coordinating observatories on seed and oilcake quality for the Interprofession des huiles et des protéines végétales (Interprofession of vegetable oils and proteins).
- Participation in the standardization of analysis methods to facilitate trade.

Accredited under ISO 17025 by COFRAC since 1996 (scope available on www.cofrac.fr N1-0727), the laboratory benefits from expertise recognized by the industry and private companies alike.

The crops
Rapeseed, sunflower, faba bean, soybean, pea, flax, chickpea, lentil, lupin, hemp, mustard and camelina.
Themes
- Analysis of samples from agronomic trials carried out by the institute's experimenters or its partners, from GEVES experiments for the registration of varieties in the French catalog, from the seed processing and valorization department, and from external clients as part of their services.
- Seed analysis: determination of impurities, water content, thousand-seed weight, oil content, protein content, glucosinolate content.
- Meal analysis: determination of fat, crude cellulose, protein, crude ash, glucosinolate content, soluble protein.
- Analysis of extracted oils: determination of acidity, fatty acid composition.
