They talk about it
A graduate of ENSAT, Emilie Sitnikow is a production engineer specializing in pests. Working closely with the Research Manager, she contributes to the production of knowledge on crop protection projects in response to problems encountered in the field.
"After a scientific baccalaureate and a preparatory class, I entered the ENSAT agricultural engineering school in Toulouse, specializing in genetics and crop protection.
I work closely with the researcher specialized in pests. I take part in the production of knowledge on projects linked to crop protection, in response to a problem in the field, such as the harmfulness of flea beetles on rapeseed. I study different types of data, I also work on methodology and monitoring to know how to analyze and interpret them, and I take part in disseminating the results to different audiences, both scientific and agricultural.
I like to find the right way to respond to a concrete problem that can then be deployed in the field. Interaction with the Institute's other technical professions, such as development engineers and input experts, is very enriching. It's also a non-routine job, where you never do the same thing: every question has its own approach!"
