Sunflowers: How to Adjust Nitrogen Levels to Optimize Yield and Quality?
Sunflower cultivation is known to be relatively low in input requirements, particularly for nitrogen. However, improperly adjusted fertilization can negatively impact both yield and oil content. The challenge, therefore, is to apply the right amount of nitrogen—not too little, so as not to limit the crop’s potential, nor too much, to avoid economic and environmental losses. To adjust this fertilization, two solutions exist: the balance method and Héliotest, a simple visual tool developed by Terres Inovia.
