Chargé d’études CDD February 01, 2026 Ancien

Terres Inovia is the benchmark technical institute for professionals in the plant oil and protein and hemp sectors.
Our mission is to contribute to improving the competitiveness of oilseed and hemp crops, through innovation and the guarantee of independent expertise at the service of producers. The European Carina project, in which Terres Inovia is involved, aims to promote the diversification of cropping systems with the introduction of oilseeds such as camelina.

Job presentation

Camelina is a hardy, low-input, short-cycle crop with interesting potential, particularly for use as a catch crop in cropping systems. Although there has been renewed interest in this crop in recent years, particularly in connection with the development of a biofuel industry, there is still a lack of available knowledge (technical and economic references, etc.).

Working at the interface between the agronomy, economics and environment department and the development team for the North and East zone, you will conduct studies into the technical feasibility and economic, agronomic and environmental benefits of including camelina in cropping systems.

Job duties

You will be involved in communicating technical results and supporting players in the field.
In addition, as part of the Carina project, you will be involved in exchanges with partners from European research institutes on these topics.

  • Carry out studies on the technical feasibility of growing camelina as a catch crop: participate in the monitoring of farmer plots growing camelina as a catch crop, and analyze data from the monitoring of plots set up since 2023.
  • Carry out a multi-criteria evaluation of scenarios for inserting camelina into cropping systems and analyze farmer survey data on the obstacles and levers to inserting camelina into their farms
  • Identify and map areas favorable to camelina as a catch crop
  • Participate in communicating results to stakeholders in the field.

Profile required

  • An agri/agro engineer or equivalent, you have a sound knowledge of agronomy.
  • You have the ability to analyze and synthesize information, and are keen to work in the field.
  • Autonomy and rigor are essential for this mission
  • Good command of English.

Conditions and benefits

  • Executive status, 9-month fixed-term contract from 01/02/2026 to 31/10/2026, based in Thiverval-Grignon (78).
  • Annual remuneration according to profile 40 to 44 K€ (including 13th month) in compliance with the chemical industries collective agreement.
  • Institute benefits: luncheon vouchers paid 60% by the employer, low-cost health insurance, employee savings plan with annual employer contribution, profit-sharing and CSE benefits.
  • You will be supervised by the Cropping Systems and Agronomy Research Manager in collaboration with the Development Engineer responsible for hemp and camelina.
