Research and Experimentation Department
Headed by Frédéric Giraud, it develops practical tools, produces technical references and keeps a constant watch on scientific developments. Trials are carried out under real-life conditions throughout France, covering a wide range of crops and farming practices. In addition, work is carried out to optimize the value of seeds, guarantee the quality of finished products and make recommendations on processing methods. The laboratories support these actions with analyses in biology, genetics and crop protection. They are divided into three divisions.
Experimentation Department
Manager: Maxime Bécu
The Experimentation Department is made up of 40 technicians, station managers and engineers spread across a network of 11 sites in the different French agricultural production basins. It works in collaboration with the Research and Experimentation Division and the Regional Transfer Division to set up trials on the Institute's oilseed and protein crops, in both conventional and organic farming. The references acquired by the Experimentation Department and our partners (technical institutes, chambers of agriculture, cooperatives, etc.) will be used to draw up recommendations for Terres Inovia.
Genetics and Crop Protection Department
Manager: Martine Leflon
This department supports innovation, and develops and disseminates knowledge useful to farmers in terms of varieties and crop protection, in order to keep pace with changing production contexts.
Agronomy, Economics and Environment Department
Manager: Stéphane Cadoux
This department's mission is to produce and deploy knowledge, operational tools and innovations in agronomy, economics and the environment.
Seed processing and valorization department
Manager: Vincent Jauvion
This department has analytical capabilities in the form of a physico-chemical analysis laboratory that monitors quality, and a technology center that studies and innovates in transformation processes, product and co-product uses, outlets, health safety and environmental impact assessment.
The Regional Action and Transfer Department
Headed by Afsaneh Lellahi, this department works closely with agricultural players (farmers, cooperatives, retailers, chambers of agriculture, producer groups, etc.), supporting them and responding to their requests for studies and expertise. It communicates the Institute's references to industry players and analyzes needs in the field to guide the Institute's programs.
It comprises three regional geographical zones and a national expertise unit:
Central and Western zone
Manager: recruitment in progress
North and East zone

At the same time, it supports internal cultural change, promoting a customer-centric approach and fostering a culture of adaptability and performance. While preserving its independence, the Development Department is also committed to strengthening synergies with research, thus affirming Terres Inovia's role as an essential interface between innovation and the economic market.
Communications department
Headed by Christine Gigandon, it promotes Terres Inovia's activities and work, and proposes the most effective media for transferring the institute's expertise and results to agricultural professionals, from upstream to downstream. She manages the main media for multi-channel communication: digital (websites, social networks, videos, webinars), print (scientific and technical publications, editions), events (conferences, trade shows) and press.
Data and digital innovation department
Headed by Julie Auque, it supports the company's digital transformation in line with its strategy. It provides and deploys digital innovations (new tools, new uses) for farmers and all players in the industry.
The Human Resources Department
Headed by France Sultana-Carriat, it ensures that the technical institute has the skilled personnel it needs to operate smoothly, in compliance with regulations and the institute's budget, while supporting employees in their professional lives to improve their performance and enable them to flourish.
Administrative and financial management
Headed by Aurélie Gerard, it monitors the Institute's performance to guarantee its economic stability. It is a point of reference for financial data and a relay for legal issues and regulatory risks.
