What's new in this edition
In the 2026 guide, the “Advantages” section—and specifically the part dedicated to the technical and economic benefits of chickpeas—has been updated. The section on varieties has been expanded to include information on guidance for variety selection* and on issues related to seed. Notably, the guide includes the first inoculum suitable for chickpeas and recommendations on its use according to production regions. In the “Establishment” section, guidance on soil preparation and sowing has been clarified with an updated sowing date chart, particularly for eastern production regions. Regarding weed control, the tables of authorized products have been updated to reflect recent developments in this field, with the addition of a table dedicated to strategies based on weed species. Advice on mixed weed control has also been revised.
