Soil structure is a major determinant of crop success. Soil compaction, degradation or insufficient regeneration can limit the agronomic potential of plots over the long term. At the end of the course, participants will be able to :

  • Identify the components of soil fertility and understand the role of soil structure

  • Understand the dynamics of soil structure evolution (compaction, degradation, regeneration)

  • Define crop requirements in terms of soil structure, particularly for oilseed and protein crop planting.

  • Implement various soil structure diagnostic methods
