Mastering pea means understanding its needs, anticipating risks and adapting practices. This course offers an expert, operational approach, combining physiological knowledge, cultivation techniques, field diagnosis and strategies to maximize yield and crop robustness.

Program:

  • Physiology and pea cycle: levers for improving yield.

  • Cultural management and decision rules: planting, weeding, plant protection, fertilization, water management, harvesting and storage.

  • Diagnosis of major accidents: diseases, pests and abiotic stresses.

  • Economic and environmental performance of the crop.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to :

  • Recommend key cultivation techniques for successful pea cultivation, from planting to harvesting.

  • Understand the plant's physiology and identify the agronomic levers that influence yield.

  • Diagnose the major accidents that can occur in cultivation, whether biotic (diseases, pests) or abiotic (water stress, climatic conditions) in origin.

  • Adapt crop management to soil and climate constraints and production objectives.

Face-to-face format :

  • Classroom contributions: Illustrated presentations, concrete case studies, presentations of agronomic levers and decision rules.

  • Field observation (if conditions are favorable): Analysis of plots to identify accidents and apply appropriate practices.

Active methods: Presentations, interactive discussions, questions and answers, case studies.

Evaluation: Quiz, questions and answers, self-assessment, individual satisfaction survey.

Theoretical aids: Presentations, summary documents and practical sheets given to participants.

Case studies: Analysis of real-life situations to illustrate best practices and technical solutions.

Practical exchanges: Feedback between participants and trainers to enhance understanding and diagnosis.

Quiz, Q&A, self-positioning, individual satisfaction survey.
