Registration opens for the Idéathon "Nourrir la créativité": rendez-vous on 1 December 2022 in Paris

14 Nov 2022

Paris, November 14, 2022 - Following the success of the first edition of the competition, Terres Inovia, the technical institute for professionals in the plant oil and protein and hemp sectors, and Terres Univia, the plant oil and protein interprofessional organisation, are organising, in partnership with the Village by CA Nord de France, Vitagora and Bioeconomy for Change, the second edition of the "Feeding Creativity" Idéathon on December 1, 2022 at the Village by CA in Paris. The aim is to mobilise the creativity of those passionate about plant proteins and sustainable food to generate new agricultural and agri-food projects. Registration for the competition is already open.

Organised within the framework of Cap Protéines, the Idéathon "Nourrir la créativité" is a free collective intelligence competition open to all and supported by the Fondation Avril, Protéines France and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty within the framework of France Relance. After a 2021 edition focused on the downstream sector, the 2022 edition will focus on the emergence of ideas for the upstream sector.

Guided by experts, the participants (individuals, students, entrepreneurs, associations, etc.), meeting in groups of 3 to 5 people, will engage in creative exercises that will enable them to design new products or services to accelerate the production and consumption of plant proteins. The solutions devised by the teams will then be evaluated according to two criteria: the environmental and economic impact and the relevance of the project. The team with the most successful project will receive a professional diagnosis and an action plan from the Village by CA Nord de France. Each team member will also win €250.

The first edition of the Idéathon "Nourrir la Créativité" was held on 30 March 2022 in Dijon and Lille with over thirty participants. Three teams were declared winners at the end of the competition:

  • "T'es chiche", in Dijon: an educational and creative programme to raise awareness among children about eating legumes. The awareness-raising strategy adopted would be to relay educational sheets on the environmental and nutritional benefits of legumes.
  • "Légumineusement bon", in Lille: a fun cooking kit and interactive workshops to raise awareness of legume consumption among the younger generation. Vincent Jauvion, a member of this team, looks back on this unique experience: "The dynamic within my team was great; I was with a student and two employees: four very complementary people. We really believed in our idea. It was really collective intelligence.
  • The aim of the "Pousse plus" project in Dijon was to facilitate the consumption of sprouted legumes for a more balanced daily diet. To do this, the participants proposed to process and market sprouted pulses with an interesting protein profile. The Pousse Plus team wanted to start a business and thus benefited from support and a feasibility study for their project. Juliana Melendrez, a member of the team, said: "The day was very enriching and creative. It gave me the opportunity to meet people with different profiles and to find innovative ideas. The interventions and the support of the experts helped us to progress in our ideation process and to come up with a solid pitch, which was praised by the jury.
