Terres Inovia at the International Agricultural Show

25 Feb 2022

After a one-year hiatus, the must-attend agricultural event is back in full force in 2022. From February 26 to March 1, the Salon International de l'Agriculture (SIA) will welcome the agricultural world, under the theme "Agriculture, our daily life, your future".
Protein sovereignty, carbon issues and digital farms in Hall 4

The institute will first be present on the Acta stand, in hall 4 stand B112, with many highlights.

On February 28, the Digifermes network will award labels to several digital experimental farms to join its network. Terres Inovia is one of the founding members and will be represented at this event by Jean-Eudes Hollebecq, an engineer in new technologies and agriculture at the institute.

On March 1st, a conference will be organized by Terres Inovia and Idele-Institut de l'élevage on protein sovereignty, and particularly on the first results of Cap Protéines and the major challenges for France by 2030.

On the same day, another conference will focus on the optimization of the carbon balance, co-organized by Acta, Arvalis, CTIFL, CNPF, Idele-Institut de l'Elevage, Ifip, IFV, Itavi, ITB and Terres Inovia: "Carbon issues: making progress with monitoring tools for agricultural advice". Francis Flenet, head of the agronomy and economics department, will represent the Institute.

Finally, on March 2, Frédéric Fine, Director of Valorization, will be on the stand all morning to present the project for a sustainable solvent to extract vegetable oils, Ecoléo, nominated for the ITAINNOV competition, for which the awards ceremony will take place on the same day on the stand of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
In hall 2.2, discovery of the outlets of the sector and Idéathon Cap Protéines

Terres Inovia will also be present on the stand of Terres Oléopro, the collective banner of the sector.

In hall 2.2 stand B015, a beautiful, airy and green area will be the scene of many activities to discover the outlets of oilseed and protein crops to the general public. Thus, a board game will include questions - and tastings! - to highlight the nutritional benefits of our oils (especially omegas) and vegetable proteins.

Another animation, this time in the form of a quiz, will show how oilseeds can respond to energy and environmental transitions. A tasting area will allow, as every year, the chef Clément Dujardin to concoct delicious recipes (in individual portions in these times of pandemic). An ephemeral pole will also host, each day, actors of the sector, such as Lesieur, Sojaxa, France Olive or Coopération Agricole Luzerne de France.

On March 2, Maria Malkoun, in charge of entrepreneurship and development, will be present on the stand to inform visitors about the ideathon "Feeding Creativity" organized as part of Cap Protéines, which will take place on March 30 in Dijon and Lille. Open to all, it proposes to think and create around a major challenge: accelerate the transition to the consumption of plant proteins in the human diet.
But also, in the other aisles of the show ...

Apart from these two stands, experts and Terres Inovia management will participate in various round tables and programs.

On February 28, Laurent Rosso, director of the institute and of the interprofessional organization Terres Univia, will be one of the guests of the TV show Stop Intox, in the heart of the seed village, to talk about food sovereignty in general and Cap Protéines in particular.

On March 3, Afsaneh Lellahi, Terres Inovia's director of regional action and transfer, will take part in a round table of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (hall 4) on the theme "More legumes tomorrow in human food".

Also on this stand, on March 5, the eight finalist teams of the Make It Agri competition will pitch their projects to the public. The final of this competition for digital innovations in agriculture, reserved for engineering school students, will take place next June.

Meet Terres Inovia at the Salon International de l'Agriculture, from February 26 to March 6, in hall 2.2 and hall 4 (stand B112)
