Launch of the 2024 call for projects under the Phosmet Exit Plan
The Phosmet Exit Action Plan aims to identify operational alternative strategies to the withdrawal of this insecticide in order to reduce attacks and the harmfulness of autumn beetle pests of oilseed rape - winter flea beetle (Psylliodes chrysocephala) and terminal bud weevil (Ceutorhynchus picitarsis).
This programme, launched by the public authorities and the rapeseed industry in 2022, supports 8 projects run by public and private research partners and agricultural development players.
In addition to the initial plan financed by the Compte d'affectation Spécial au Développement Agricole et Rural (CASDAR), Sofiprotéol is providing annual support of €200,000 over 3 years through the Fonds d'Actions Stratégiques pour les Oléagineux et Protéagineux (FASO), to continue the drive to develop innovative and operational solutions.
The call for projects 2024 "Phosmet phase-out action plan", with a budget of 259,000 euros, will support projects on autumn rapeseed pests, carried out in favour of public-private partnerships, and on test and demonstration actions with a view to marketing by one or more private players.
Projects must be submitted by 30 April 2024.
