Tool's Workshop in Occitanie : result's feedback and an afternoon in the field

08 Jun 2022

On June 8, 2022, the Tool's Workshop was held in Azas, Haute-Garonne (31). The event brought about forty people, farmers and development organizations (advisors, technicians ...) to present the results of 3 years of work conducted in the Outillage project, mobilizing nearly twenty partners and this throughout France.

Launched in 2018, this project, funded by CASDAR, aimed to develop methods to support farmers on complex issues, such as the appropriation of new cropping practices (e.g.: integration of plant cover), or the change at the scale of their cropping system (e.g.: transition to conservation agriculture).

A time of exchange appreciated and rich in learning that will have allowed to highlight the Conservation Agriculture of soils and its growing interest in relation to land erosion in the South.

On the program of this day?

A morning session devoted to the restitution of the main results of the project and an afternoon focused on the practical application of the tools on agricultural plots. In particular, the dashboard "Sunflower successful in ACS" co-constructed by AgroDoc, Terres Inovia, INRAE and ISARA Lyon was presented in real conditions before its next availability on our website.

The organizers of this day, Agrodoc and Terres Inovia, thank Eric Massou, member of the group of farmers who allowed the construction and the test of the dashboard, for the reception on his farm and for the presentation of the work done on his plots.

Two other conferences will be held soon in Berry (organized by Terres Inovia) and in the Grand-Est (organized by Vivescia).
